Swinging for a Cause: A Recap of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce golf event

Golf enthusiasts, including both Ohio Valley Waste employees and its partners, came together again this year in a perfect blend of sportsmanship and compassion at the recent Salem Area Chamber of Commerce golf event held on June 12.  The event not only showcased impressive golfing skills but also highlighted the power of collective goodwill.

The main attraction of the day was, of course, the golf tournament itself. The participants brought their A-game to every swing, aiming for the elusive hole-in-one while competing in a variety of categories. Laughter and friendly banter echoed across the course as golfers forged new connections and strengthened existing ones.

However, the true winner of the day was the Chamber. Months of meticulous planning had culminated in this event, and the funds raised were destined to make a genuine impact on the community.

In the end, this year’s charity golf event was a resounding success – not just in terms of funds raised, but in fostering a sense of togetherness and purpose.
